Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) – 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract

Location: Gibraltar

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

We are recruiting an experienced and dedicated Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) to join a skilled Theatre team in Gibraltar on a 6-month fixed-term contract, starting August 1st

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality perioperative care across Obstetric & Paediatric anaesthetics, scrub and recovery

is desirable
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of operating theatres and equipment

Support anaesthetists and surgeons during surgical procedures

Monitor patients throughout the perioperative journey and respond appropriately to changes in condition
Ensure safe and effective infection prevention and control practices

Maintain accurate clinical records and uphold patient safety standards

Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary theatre team

Requirements
Current HCPC registration as an Operating Department Practitioner

Relevant theatre experience in anaesthetics, scrub and/or recovery

Strong communication, organisational and clinical decision-making skills

Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment

Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care
