Registered Nurse – Theatres (12-Month Fixed-Term Contract)

Location: Gibraltar

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse to join the theatre team on a 12-month fixed-term contract in Gibraltar. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic day surgery environment, delivering high-quality patient care across all perioperative phases.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: £30,378 – £40,140 per annum (dependent on years of reckonable NHS service)

Rental allowance: £750 per month

Return economy flights from the UK to Gibraltar

Full-time position: 40 hours per week

Key Requirements

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in perioperative nursing, including scrub duties

Proven experience in both scrub and circulating roles

Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques, instrument handling, and day surgery workflows

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment

Role Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide professional nursing care throughout all stages of the perioperative pathway, including:

Conducting pre-operative patient assessments

Performing scrub duties within the operating theatre

Assisting during surgical procedures as part of the theatre team

Supporting patient recovery in the Post-Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU)
