Locum Operating Department Practitioner (ODP)

Location: Gibraltar

Contract Length: Asap – 2nd March 2026

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (including weekends and night shifts)

Key Responsibilities

Anaesthetic Care

Prepare anaesthetic equipment and drugs

Support the anaesthetist during procedures
Monitor patients throughout anaesthesia

Surgical (Scrub) Duties

Prepare and maintain sterile instruments and equipment

Assist surgeons during operative procedures

Ensure a safe and sterile operating environment

Recovery / Post-Anaesthetic Care

Monitor patients during recovery from anaesthesia

Manage airways, pain control, and vital signs

Identify and respond promptly to post-operative complications

About You

Qualified and registered Operating Department Practitioner

Relevant experience within anaesthetics, scrub, and/or recovery

Flexible to work nights and weekends
