Fixed Term Locum Specialty Doctor in Anaesthetics

We have an exciting and rare fixed term locum opportunity available with NHS Grampian.

Title: Specialty Doctor in Anaesthesia
Location: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary & Woodend Hospital
Working Pattern: Fixed term locum basis for 12 months initially | Full time or Part time (40 hours per week: 36 clinical + 4 SPA)

This is a varied and rewarding post offering anaesthetic theatre sessions across a wide range of specialties, including general surgery, plastics, gynaecology, breast surgery, urology, and orthopaedics (including trauma). There is also scope to accommodate special interests such as paediatric, neuro, cardiac, and obstetric anaesthesia.

Out-of-hours commitment: 1 in 8 weekends
Friday evening (18:00–20:00) plus Saturday and Sunday (08:00–20:00)
Mix of general on call and maternity anaesthetic cover
