Job Title: General Practitioner with Obstetrics Experience
Location: King Edward Memorial Hospital, Stanley, Falkland Islands
Duration: July for 3 months

Would you like to join the healthcare team in the stunning and remote Falkland Islands for a short term locum, where you will provide essential medical care to a close-knit community.

About the Role:
You will provide general practitioner services to local population, military personnel and visiting foreign nationals and tourists, using resources in the most effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:
” Provide general medical services to patients of all ages
” Conduct routine check-ups, immunisations, and health assessments
” Manage chronic conditions and provide ongoing care
” Collaborate with local healthcare providers and specialists as needed
” Participate in community health initiatives and education

Requirements:
” Registration with the UK General Medical Council or recognised equivalent
” Minimum of 3 years of experience in general practice
” Strong communication and interpersonal skills
” Must meet all requirements in the Obstetrics competencies list
” Ability to work independently and as part of a team
” A commitment to providing high-quality patient care
” Must hold a full, valid driving licence
